Porto is wetter and cooler than Lisbon. Summers (Jun–Aug) are warm and dry at 75–80°F. Winters (Nov–Feb) are cool and rainy — Porto gets more rain than most Portuguese cities.
Spring (Apr–May) and early autumn (Sep–Oct) are ideal: comfortable temps, manageable rain, fewer crowds in the Ribeira. The Douro Valley is best visited May through October. Pack a rain jacket year-round — Porto's weather can change fast.
