Generally fine in central Porto. Cedofeita, Baixa, Foz, and Bonfim are all walkable at midnight without anxiety. The one real adjustment is the cobblestones — they get treacherous when wet. Wear shoes with grip, especially around the Clérigos area where the streets get steep.
Going out alone at night - genuinely solo-friendly, especially the wine bars in Cedofeita. The natural wine and cocktail bar scene (Vintu, Genuino, Aduela, the small spots on Rua de Miguel Bombarda) has a regulars-and-bartender culture where being at the bar alone is normal. Galerias de Paris is the bigger nightlife strip — louder, more international, also fine solo. Last metro at 1am means you'll Bolt home from the late ones.
