Athens has a hot Mediterranean climate — scorching dry summers and mild, wet winters. July and August regularly hit 90°F+ with almost zero rain. Winter (Dec–Feb) is cool and rainy but mild by European standards, rarely dropping below 40°F.

Spring (April–May) and early autumn (September–October) are the best months. Warm enough for outdoor life, cool enough to walk the city without melting. Summer heat can be intense — plan around it if you're working during the day.
